A Taste of Contemporary Art from the Irish Presidency's Cultural Programme

Feature: 11.06.2013, 12:30 GMT

Arts & Culture

A selection of film and photos from the Kaleidoscope and 40 / 40 / 40 exhibitions funded through Culture Connects, the cultural programme celebrating Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

40 /40 / 40 is an Irish contemporary art exhibition that has been touring a number of prestigious European venues to celebrate our EU Presidency and our 40 years as a member of the European Union. It features work of 40 artists under 40. The exhibition has so far shown in Madrid and Warsaw and next opens in Rome on June 13th.

Kaleidoscope is a Contemporary Art Exhibition from EU Member States. The works in this exhibition reflect the current art practice of contemporary artists of many European nationalities, across a variety of media – video, drawing, sculpture, print and painting. The unique vision of each artist reflects the diversity of new work being created throughout Europe. The exhibition continues to be open to the public from Wednesday May 1st to Sunday, June 30th 2013 at Farmleigh House in Dublin's Phoenix Park.

Below our photo-gallery of the Kaleidoscope opening in Farmleigh House are two videos, the first offering a visual highlight of Kaleidoscope, the second of the opening night of 40 / 40 / 40 in Madrid.
